💥💥💥What a first couple days at the State Girls High School Wrestling Tournament!! Here are the results so far!!💥💥💥 120 - Britney Rueb - 3-0 - will be wrestling in the finals tomorrow!! 126 - Hadlee Kracht - 2-2 - will be wrestling in the 7th-8th place match! 138 - Peyton Hellmann - 3-0 - will be wrestling in the finals!! 165 - Ashley Tolsma - 2-2 - will be wrestling in the 7th-8th place match! (Not too shabby for a first year wrestler!!) 185 - Hope Kemnitz - 0-2 - done with the tournament. Hope had probably as tough of draw as you can ask for but she battled the whole tournament!! Pretty darn good making it to State your very first year!! The team is currently in 8th place and is definitely in the hunt to make the podium yet!!(top 6 teams). It will be exciting to see where things fall tomorrow! Good luck to all the girls wrestling yet!!🤼‍♀️🔨💪🥇

Good luck to our Avon Lady Pirates GBB team tonight as they host Corsica-Stickney in the Region 5B Tourney! Game time is 7:00. A reminder to all in attendance that passes do not work this evening. Admission prices are set by the SDHSAA--$6 for adults and $4 for students.

Avon Post Prom is having Bingo on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 @ 7:00pm in the Avon School Auxiliary Gym. There will also be silent auction baskets, cake walk and concessions. Come out for a night to support the youth of the school, as all monies raised will be put towards the Post Prom to give our students and their dates a safe, drug free & alcohol free event, following prom. Can't wait to see you there!

The SDHSAA Academic Achievement Team Award is designed to recognize varsity athletic teams and fine arts groups for their academic excellence. The SDHSAA believes that high school students learn in two distinct ways: inside classroom and outside the classroom on the stage and on the athletic field.
