The Avon Oral Interp team competed at the Harrisburg Invite on Saturday. The following students received awards: Caleb Wallinga - Excellent in Serious Prose, Kate Swier - Excellent in Storytelling, Kate and Sarah Swier - Superior in Duet, Ashley Tolsma - Superior Plus in Humorous Prose, and Sarah Swier - Superior Plus in Serious Prose.
Congratulations to the Junior High volleyball team for getting 2nd at the 8th Grade Division at the Avon Tournament!! Good job girls!
The 4th graders have been learning about renewable resources in science and got the opportunity to get a tour of the Fort Randall Dam. The tour guide did a great job of helping students understand how everything works and the importance it has in our area.
