The Avon High School Prom is this Saturday, March 26th. Theme for the Prom is Unlock the Enchanted Night. The Grand March will start at 7:30 PM sharp.

There will be a 12:30 pm Early Dismissal at Avon School on Thursday, April 14. The Avon Invitational Track Meet has been changed to begin at 1:30 pm.

There will be a fan bus to Huron for the Lady Pirate SoDak 16 game versus DeSmet. The bus will leave at 4:00 PM and will be stopping in Mitchell to eat, before continuing to Huron. Students riding the bus must be an Avon student and be 6th grade and above. Any adults from the community that want to ride the bus please contact the business office. Go Lady Pirates!!
Congratulations to Tyler Tjeerdsma and Brady Bierema. Tyler finished 7th in the 126 pound weight class at the State Wrestling Meet and Brady finished 8th in the 138 pound class. Great job guys!!
Dinner Show Tickets are available for the AHS Drama Club presentation of How I Met Your Mummy, scheduled on April 9, 2022 at 6:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased at the school's business office or Mrs. Knodel for $12 each. DEADLINE TO PURCHASE TICKETS IS APRIL 1.

Anyone that is interested running for the Avon School Board of Education the deadline for turning in petitions in Friday, February 25th at 5:00 PM. Petitions are available at the school business office.
The Lady Pirate basketball team advanced to the semi-finals of the Region 6B tournament with a win over Marty last night. The Lady Pirates will take on the winner of Platte-Geddes vs Burke game, which will be held Thursday, February 24th at 7:00 PM. The semi-final game will be held at the Mitchell Corn Palace at approximately 5:45 PM on Saturday, February 26th. The other semi-final game will start at 4:00 PM. The length of the first semi-final game will determine the start time of the second game. Good luck Lady Pirates!!
