Congratulations to the boys who took 6th place at State Wrestling this weekend!

Congratulations to the girls for bringing home 5th place this weekend!
Our two seventh graders got some great experience at the State Tournament this past weekend!! The future of our team is so bright! Both Sydney and Harper have improved immensely through this year!! And that showed by qualifying for state as 7th graders! They both gained some great experience and we can’t wait to see what their future holds!
Bailey was our lone freshman on the team this year! She was a huge asset on the team and improved so much this year! She ran into a very difficult path to get to state and didn’t get the results she wanted - but one thing we know is that she will be motivated to get there this next year! Great job this year Bailey!!
Our two HAMMER Sophomores!! First off - Hadlee Kracht! Hadlee is one of the most exciting (and nerve racking!!☺️) wrestlers you will find out there!! One thing about Hadlee is that she is never out of a match! She went into the state tournament seeded 7th and ended up bringing home 4th!!
Next up is Jasmine Ruelas! This year was Jasmine’s first year wrestling and to say it was successful is an understatement!! As soon as she hit the mat - she improved immensely every day!! To make the state tournament her very first year and on top of it placing 4th is an exceptional accomplishment!! She went into the tournament seeded 5th and placed 4th!
Our JUNIORS!! Britney! A true GOAT! Britney as we all know is as good as it comes on the mat! She ran into some adversity this year but one thing that really showed is her true perseverance!! Since her injury she has been a great leader in the room - helping the other wrestlers and slowly working on getting healed up!! All I know is that she will come back stronger than ever!!
Next is Hope!! Hope has made huge strides in her wrestling this year - especially over the last month or so! She works her butt off in practice and is a true joy to have as an athlete. Hope was seeded 10th and made podium placing 8th - along with getting two huge bonus points pins!!!
Senior Highlight! Ashley Tolsma - this was Ashley‘s second year wrestling and partway through this year. She reached the milestone of 50 wins! Which is a huge accomplishment for a short amount of time she has wrestled. Our team wouldn’t be where it is without Ashley, she has such a positive attitude and works so hard to get the results on the mat. She came into the State tournament seated 5th and that is where she placed! She brought in a huge number of extra bonus points as she got three falls, and one tech fall - which is a difference maker in the team race!! we are sure going to miss you in the room and wish you all the best and everything ahead of you !
Lastly Peyton Hellmann - Peyton has been a staple in the wrestling room for many years. She will definitely be missed in the room, but I know she is confident that there is a great set of girls coming down the pipeline to continue the BHSA tradition! Peyton had a great state tournament with three falls and a major decision coming home with the championship!

The 5th and 6th grade boys took first at their tournament today! A great way to wrap up the season! Great job boys!
