Students in grades 8-12 presented their quarter 1 book projects in English today. Each quarter, they get to read a book of their choosing and then complete a creative project. This quarter’s project involved choosing 4-6 items that symbolize something about their book’s plot, setting, characters, or theme. They had to take a photo of the items and then explain the symbolization behind each item. Keep reading, Pirates!
Congratulations to these cross country runners for placing in the top 20 today at the region 3B meet, qualifying them for the state meet! Cale placed 12th, Rance placed 13th, and Zander placed 19th. The state meet will be held Saturday, October 25th in Huron.

All students had the opportunity to listen to a speaker today, Chaz Perez. The skill of "Turning Pain into Passion" elevated Chaz from years as a student in special education, to speaking all over the world. Chaz spoke to the students about kindness and being who you are meant to be. It was a great assembly for all students!

Sunday the Oral Interp team held their showcase. All the students presented their pieces. The Oral Interp team would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the judges, Roxy Pier, Tom Pier, and Carol Swier. We appreciate your time, expertise, and encouragement.
