The third graders have been kept busy with visits from Lesley Rygaard, the SDSU 4-H Extension Educator for Bon Homme County. She visits the classroom once a week for the “Adopt a Cow” program. In the past we have learned about breeds of cattle, the purpose of ear tags, and why colostrum is important to calves. Today, third graders learned each of the 4 stomachs of a cow has a unique function and texture, which they got to feel. They also studied how energy from the sun is transformed into energy our bodies need when we eat beef.

The Girls' Basketball game scheduled for tonight with Gregory has been changed to Friday, December 12th. JV game starting at 6:15.

The Oral Interp team finished their season today. As a team they recieved the Team Excellence Award! Abby Gretschmann received a Superior in Serious today! Congratulations!

The Junior Class Soup and Bingo scheduled for tonight has been postponed till next Saturday December 13th.

The Preschool class took part in the 16th Annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive (partnered with Scholastic)! Every year, hundreds of classrooms around the nation collect brand new pajamas to support the children that Beyond Bedtime supports. As is tradition, Scholastic has pledged to match every pair of donated pajamas with a brand-new storybook, up to 100,000 books!
By generous donations from the preschool families, we collected 20 pairs of pajamas! They will be donated to a local shelter.
