Today, the 7th and 8th grade choir students spread Christmas cheer by performing their concert songs for the preschool class and two local daycares in Avon. Their joyful music brought smiles, excitement, and a festive spirit to the young listeners, creating a special connection between students of all ages. MOST of the daycare kiddos enjoyed the performance :)
Immediately following, the high school choir visited the Tyndall Nursing Home, where they shared the gift of music with residents and staff. These performances were a meaningful reminder of the power of music to bring comfort, joy, and community together, making the day a true blessing for both the performers and those who were able to enjoy the music. Christmas Blessings to all of you this Holiday Season!

On Tuesday, December 16th, the Junior Varsity games will start at 5:15. Fans will enter through the Activity Entrance at the front of the building. The new signage makes these doors easy to find. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students. Fans not making the trip can watch the action on Jags Live. The link can be found on the Corsica-Stickney School website.
We will be starting school at the regular time. Please allow extra time and drive slowly. We want all our Pirates to arrive safely to the ship!

From an Avon Pirate to a Northern Wolf! Congratulations to Al'Shamon Gunter as he committed to Northern this weekend!

Congratulations Treyvan!
We have a World Champion!!
Way to go Treyvan!!!🖤♥️💛

Family members from the third grade class had a “date night” together in Mitchell last night. The first stop was Bass Pro Shop for a picture with Santa and some free Christmas swag. Fine dining was next on the list with a visit to McDonald’s where Mrs. Knodel got a hug from the shift manager…and former 3rd grader Kathryn (Mah) Fuhrer! The night was ended at the Mitchell Area Community Theater for the production of A Little House Christmas…complete with popcorn and boxes of candy! Rumor has it some of the third graders dozed off to dream land on the way home.

Treyvan has been busy at rodeo this week! Congratulations!
See those two talented young cowboys on the far right?? Remember the names!! After a yearlong battle, South Dakota’s Treyvan Talsma and Lone Star State cowboy Colton Heron tied for the 2025 Ote Berry’s Junior Steer Wrestling World Championship 16 & Under incentive title! Each earned 6,307.5 points on the season. Big congrats, cowboys!! #steerwrestling #rodeo #cowboy
