Congratulations to Avon 3rd Grade teacher Loretta Knodel for being selected as the Region 3 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Knodel will compete against the other four Region Teachers of the Year for the South Dakota Teacher of the Year. That presentation will be made this Fall. Good Luck!!

Come out and support the Annual Lion's Club Fun Fest and enjoy food, fun, and games! Proceeds will be donated to the Meadow View Manor bathroom remodel fund and summer youth programs in Avon.
Tomorrow's varsity track meet at Andes Central has been cancelled due to impending weather.
Orders are due tomorrow, April 28th for the Avon Youth Baseball Store. The link for the store is on the Avon School District webpage.
The Annual Lion's Club Fun Fest will be held on Friday, April 29, at the Avon School gym. Supper begins at 5:30 pm and games start at 6:00 pm. There will be inflatables for the young children! Come out and support the cause! All proceeds will be donated to the Meadow View Manor bathroom remodel fund and summer youth programs.
Thursday, April 28th is the Avon Music Departments Pops Concert. The concert is for vocal students in grades 7-12 and band students in grades 8-12. The correct start time for the Pops Concert is 7:30 PM.
The Jim Flevares Battle of the States track meet scheduled for tomorrow in Tyndall has been postponed until Thursday, April 28th.
The Singers Express Concert from Northeast Community College will in Avon on Friday April 29th. The concert will begin at 10:30 AM in the Main Gym. The public is welcome to attend.
Avon Youth Baseball Apparel is now available.
The Avon Invitational Track Meet scheduled for this Thursday, April 14th has been cancelled due to the impending weather forecast. As of now we do not have a makeup date.
Congratulations to Lila, Kaeli, Erica, and Carmindy for their 3rd place finish at the USD Mathmatics contest.
Lila also earned 2nd place in the individual portion of the contest.
The Junior High Track Meet in Scotland and the Varsity Track Meet in Armour that were to be held on Thursday, April 7th have been cancelled.
