The schedule for GBB/BBB Doubleheader in Emery on Tuesday February 11th is as follows: Junior Varsity Girls at 4:00, Junior Varsity Boys at 5:15, Varsity Girls at 6:30, Varsity Boys at 7:45.
The Girls' Basketball Game against Freeman tonight , February 10th is postponed to a later date. As soon as date is agreed upon, the date will be posted.

Erica Cahoy competed in the Technical Design Competition at the State One Act Festival. She was awarded with a Superior medal in the category of Costume Design at the award ceremony held in Brookings this evening. This is the first time an Avon student has ever competed in this category. Congratulations, Erica!

The girls wrestled in their last regular season tournament of the season! The team placed 4th overall out of 34 teams! The girls have a quad next Tuesday in Canton. Great job all! A little better everyday!!

Congratulations to these groups for receiving the SDHSAA Academic Achievement Team Award. This award recognizes varsity athletic teams and fine arts groups for their academic excellence. The SDHSAA believes that high school students learn in two distinct ways: inside the classroom and outside the classroom on the stage and on the athletic field. These teams average above a 3.0 GPA.
